The role of the Logistics Coordinator is to efficiently and effectively co-ordinate the Company logistics activities for the shipment of goods to Customers and suppliers.

Additionally, taking responsibility for the accurate recording and declaration of the business import/exports

Main Responsibilities:

  • To create / process the relevant paperwork to allow the shipping and invoicing of goods / services
  • Ensuring all documentation is accurately recorded and maintained
  • Coordination and tracking of all shipments to and from the Torrington office
  • Working with logistics companies to produce cost savings
  • Track and correctly declare imports and export for logístical items from the Torrington office ensuring we are complying with HMRC guidelines
  • To support the ongoing development of the Epicor ERP system for Operations activities
  • To work crossfunctionally within the Operations Team to support all other activities as required by the Operations Manager
  • To actively promote, champion and lead continuous improvement activities throughout the Operations Department
  • To maintain personal Continual Professional Development and keep abreast of current developments as they affect the work undertaken by the Company
  • To support purchasing with suppliers to obtain quotations for goods and services and to raise and place purchase orders
  • To provide purchasing support for other departments as required
  • To provide & ensure adequate training to staff undertaking dispatch activities
  • To monitor, maintain and ensure staff compliance with 6S principles
  • To provide customs clearance for inbound consignments (both customer returns and new purchased goods)
