Job Overview

Are you intrigued by the opportunity to join a forward-thinking, prominent, and vibrant dietetic team with over 50 members? We are in search of a motivated Band 6 Specialist Oncology Dietitian to become part of the Oncology & Haematology Dietetic Team at UCLH.

The successful candidate will be integrated into the oncology & haematology team, offering an excellent chance for a dietitian with prior oncology experience to expand their expertise working alongside a supportive MDT in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Main Duties of the Job

We seek a dynamic, enthusiastic, and confident individual with a background in managing a diverse caseload of adult oncology patients undergoing multi-modal therapy. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to enhance their clinical skills in a nurturing environment.

Applicants must hold a BSc in Nutrition & Dietetics (or equivalent) and be registered with HCPC.

To provide a high-quality, evidence-based Nutrition & Dietetic service to oncology patients in inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory care settings.

Responsible for the nutritional care & management of patients, independently organizing & prioritizing patient-related and professional tasks daily.

You should excel in teamwork and effective time management.

Strong communication and team working skills are crucial.

To serve as a dietary expert for colleagues and healthcare professionals within the organization.

To play an essential role in ensuring full coverage of the Dietetic service during periods of leave.

To contribute to the clinical governance program of the Trust through participation in audits, development, and implementation of evidence-based guidelines, policies, and continuing professional development.

You will contribute to the service and the department's annual goals.

Having supervision skills will allow you to support the student training program.
