Assist the Information Manager/Senior Information Analyst in the provision of timely and accurate information for both internal and external agencies Extract and manipulate data from Information Systems, presenting data in a clear and understandable format.
To write, design and run programs and then use the more advanced data manipulation tools of Microsoft Excel/SQL Server Management Studio (including formulae, pivot tables, and basic SQL Query writing).
Produce and distribute a variety of regular reports/extracts to specified deadlines following guidelines and set procedure notes. Complete ad hoc information requests when necessary, analysing and presenting complex data in a clear and understandable format.
Produce good supporting documentation and quality checks for regular tasks, ensuring that documentation is kept up-to-date in the agreed standardised format.
Monitor processes to ensure information quality in accordance with NHS Standards and Definitions by checking that data has been recorded to the above standards.
Use knowledge of Patient Information Systems to provide clear explanation to users requiring support on system functionality. Provide cover/support for annual leave/sickness specifically to ensure that the timely submission of reports and returns are maintained.
