Digital Services Dba and Integration Manager

The successful post holder will specialise in managing the integration projects and the delivery of concurrent integration projects across the business.


You will be a technical specialist for this area and also a liaison point for the business to provide updates on the integration projects.

You will use your technical expertise to support the team through development, architecture and project implementation.
You will regularly advise the wider business and Digital Services department on technical issues and appropriate resolution for integrations.

The post is accountable for the daily running of Cygnet's SQL Server estate and any future data base technologies.


You will support our DBA's and Integration Specialists and the business as a whole on integrations to ensure that optimal delivery on integration projects.

You will work very closely with all Digital Services teams and the wider business.


You will need to manage your objectives to the highest of standards and ensure programmes of work are delivered as promised.

Knowledge, insight and information will be communicated effectively and the systems and processes underpinning operational functionare to be regularly reviewed and cleansed.


You will be responsible for the deployment and set up of the integration tools and for leading a team of DBAs and Integration experts to deliver exceptional solutions to the business.

You will have line management responsibilities for the DBA and Integrations Specialists.

You will develop close working relationships with all members of the Digital Services Team and business at large.

DUTIES

  • Oversee the configuration of any implemented integration tools.
  • Ensure the wider team are working cohesively and set the priorities of the wider team.
  • Create and maintain optimal integration and DBA processes, techniques and technologies.
  • Identify, design and implement internal process improvements. Where practical and possible, automate manual processes and optimise data delivery.
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Clinical, HR, Operational, Commercial, Digital Services and Financial teams to assist with integration related technical issues and any database queries or requirements.
  • Liaise with any authorised third party suppliers.
  • To consider existing complex, multidepartmental data flows and inform changes harnessing software capabilities to provide the right information at the right time.
  • Proactively review systems to answer key questions raised by staff or out of selfinitiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
  • Review and suggest where integrations should be used to enable a more effective flow of data through the organisation.
  • To represent the team as appropriate in internal and external meetings, reporting on integrations. You must be able to travel and be sufficiently confident to forge effective working relationships as required.
  • You will have, and continue to gain, an appreciation for the working environment of the clinical, personnel, financial and performance community, ensuring that outputs meet expectations of stakeholders.
  • Ensure the provision of an escalation point of contact within the team for all queries, problems, requests and incidents relating to data and reporting ensuring they are logged, tracked and resolved.
  • Proactively participate in ensuring that the service delivered within Cygnet reflects best practice with respect to organisational, NHS and legislative requirements and guidelines.
