Antisocial Behaviour Coordinator

Fulham, Greater London, United Kingdom Hammersmith & Fulham Council Full time

At Hammersmith and Fulham we strive for the borough to be an attractive place, one that is safe, clean and green and in which our residents take pride.

As part of the ASB Unit, you will be taking a stand against anti-social behaviour, drugs, violence, cuckooing and hate crime that ruin so many of our residents', vulnerable and young people's lives.

Anti-Social Behaviour is now on high on the government's agenda following the recent launch of the ASB Action Plan by the Prime Minister, and an exciting opportunity has risen for an Anti-Social Behaviour Coordinator to join our team.

As is the case in so many high-density inner-city areas, anti-social behaviour impacts on residents of all tenure and visitors alike.

You will be joining a dynamic, tight knit, and high performing ASB team, whose work is being recognised nationally.

In addition, the work will involve a significant amount of joint working both within the council and with key stakeholders and partners to ensure that Hammersmith & Fulham develops leading case management practice.

The role requires organisational and investigative skills, high standards of customer care, the knowledge and ideally, experience of utilising Housing and ASB related legislation.

It's a complex and challenging problem that requires radical thinking, resilience, empathy, and compassion.

If you could rise to that challenge, we'd like to talk to you.

This is a hybrid role, with most of the work being home based, although there will be occasions that you will be expected to attend the borough to carry out certain aspects of your duties, attend meetings or court.

Our mission is to be the best council. To do this we need the best people to help build our vision.

If you're looking to develop your career in a fast-paced, professional environment whilst making a significant difference to the lives of our residents, then we look forward to hearing from you.

Please refer to the
Role Profile for more information.

Role Responsibilities:

As part of the ASB Unit, you will be taking a stand against anti-social behaviour, drugs, violence, cuckooing and hate crime that ruin so many of our residents', vulnerable and young people's lives.

You will need:

  • To provide a high quality, customeroriented service to resolve and prevent antisocial behaviour (including hatebased harassment) throughout the borough
  • To provide overall case supervision and to make decisions on action plans for all cases of hatebased harassment arising across the borough.
  • To develop, projectmanage and deliver multiagency case strategies to resolve and prevent antisocial behaviour using legal action, formal and informal interventions, diversion, community confidencebuilding and enlisting and coordinating the services of other internal and external agencies as necessary.
  • For cases referred by Housing Services and Pinnacle, to work jointly with Housing staff and through the area consultation structures to input specialist expertise and intensive working resources to resolve problems of antisocial behaviour.
  • For cases referred by the Integrated Gangs Unit, to work jointly with gangs' workers, police and social care colleagues to safeguard those at risk. These safeguarding needs may include seeking injunctions, knife crime prevention orders, premise closure orders etc at short notice.
