WHAT TO EXPECT

As our engineering and powertrain function paves the way for the latest automotive technology, we require calibration led subject matter expertise within Emissions Sensing for our engineering and powertrain function - a function that is paving the way for the latest automotive technology.

Our Whitley (Coventry) team are developing cutting-edge technology for the calibration of the after-treatment and starting systems on both Gasoline and Diesel applications ( including the calibration of (DPF) Diesel Particulate Filter, (GPF) Gasoline Particulate Filter, (LNT) Lean NOx Trap and Catalyst Heating after-treatment technologies along with starting features such as start mode/type control, combustion, and mode transitions).

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Definition of the strategic direction for aftertreatment calibration which involves emissions sensing, selective catalytic reduction (SCR), and Urea Systems

Ownership of the Processes (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) FMEA and Design Verification Planning (DVP's) for the calibration of the after-treatment systems

Lead the resolution of technical issues involving the after-treatment calibration

Participate in calibration Peer Reviews to ensure the quality of calibration releases

Development of models, simulation and tools to support calibration activities

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Knowledge of the after-treatment calibration, application and control software capability and calibration principals

Experience of process development and design verification (DV) test definition

Knowledge of advanced quality tools and frameworks Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Parameter Diagrams and Interface Analysis

Experience of emissions simulation and the integration of analytical tools

Knowledge and use of Problem-solving tools such as Six Sigma, 8D, Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, and Control (DMAIC)
