Role Description:


My client is currently looking for IT Procurement Consultant / Buyer to join them on an interim 6 month contract.

This role will look into their global software category (not hardware) and track digital tech spend, conduct analysis of EU/US spend data, IDsavings, make recommendations and negotiate new deals with new suppliers.


Objectives:

  • Analyse Technology vendor spend data to identify potential savings in the form of:
  • Synergies across regions
  • Synergies across spend categories
  • Redundancies
- 'Leakages'

  • Anomalies vs industry benchmark of spend
  • For potential spend areas, analyse current contracts to identify potential saving in the form of:
  • Price negotiations
  • Better pricing terms
  • Better pricing models
  • Risk and exposure
  • Work with capability / vendor owner to produce savings
  • Regular reporting to demonstrate progress

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Proven experience of such an exercise
  • Technology vendor spend knowledge and expertise
  • Ability to analyse data using Excel / Power BI
  • Ability to provide regular reports
  • Ability to work with vendor owners / vendors and other parties to reduce costs
