We are working with a fantastic international media owner to find them a new Head of Agency. In this role you will be leading a team and ensuring their commercial success through strategic thinking and experienced leadership.

As the leader of your agency patch, you'll align its growth with the overall commercial strategy. Collaborating with Agency Heads and the Head of Sales, you'll ensure full implementation of agency plans to drive revenue and direction. Your focus will be on managing your team to excel both internally and externally, in order to perform to as high a level as possible.

What will this role include?

  • Drive revenue growth by expanding our commercial share and diversifying revenue streams.
  • Lead one of the company's largest agency patches, serving as the external face of the company.
  • Partner with the podcast team to create a clear strategy and foster strong relationships, enhancing the company's competitiveness and revenue opportunities.
  • Ensure your team embodies the culture and values, driving high performance internally and externally and supporting career development.
  • Maintain market engagement by facilitating trading with agencies, trading groups, and clients, and representing the company at industry events.
  • Focus on digital customer acquisition, redirecting revenue from other digital platforms to their digital audio offerings without cannibalizing broadcast revenue.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Proven track record in managing senior agency relationships.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working seamlessly with commercial and wider teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership as a senior member of the commercial team.
  • Understanding of the UK podcast landscape.
  • Ability to strategize for long-term revenue generation and product diversification.
  • Digital expertise, including knowledge of the advertising ecosystem and positioning data-led propositions in the marketplace.
