Transport Planner for our new distribution hub based in
Glasgow (Govan) who's as passionate about great service as we are

Working Hours:_ These will operate on a shift rotation of 7am
- to 4pm one in three Saturday 8am to 12noon._

Key Responsibilities_
- Plan and coordinate transport operations alongside the onsite Transport Manager to meet customer demands
- Communicate effectively and facilitate good working relationships with drivers, suppliers, and customers
- Utilise Excel and Word to create transport schedules and reports and manage associated administrative tasks
- Manage logistics, including route planning and vehicle allocation
- Drive continuous improvement in transport processes
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
- Supporting branch as and when

Required Skills and Experience_
- Logistic and transport planning experience with awareness of Transport Legislation
- An understanding of building materials would be desirable
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing environment
- Strong IT skills and regional geographic knowledge
- Proactive, flexible and enthusiastic attitude
