An exciting opportunity has arisen as we are currently recruiting for a dynamic and enthusiastic IPC audit and surveillance nurse to join our Infection Prevention and Control team.

The post holder will be expected to be flexible and work across both sites within Kings College NHS Trust as required by the IPC/SSIS audit and surveillance programmes, working as an individual and as part of the Team.

Main duties of the job

As a member of the Infection Prevention & Control Team, the IPC Audit and Surveillance Nurse will support systematic collection of data as part of national/local surveillance programmes, on the prevalence of healthcare associated infections and compliance with Infection Prevention & Control standards. This will include Surgical Site Infection Surveillance programme.

To participate in the implementation and maintenance of IPC surveillance/prevalence and patient safety audits including writing reports and presenting results to relevant stakeholders including the Infection Prevention & Control Committee.
