About the Team


Rapid7's Customer Excellence Team is responsible for building insights, customer knowledge, and marketing programs that help Rapid7's customers get value from our products and services.

The Customer Marketing team is highly focused on customer engagement programs that promote customer engagement and retention, increase customer expansion and drive loyalty within our customer base.

About the Role


The Customer Advocacy Specialist will work with Rapid7's Customer Marketing team to build and implement a world-class customer advocacy program.

In this role, your focus will be on managing a database of customer references.

To accomplish this, you'll work closely with internal teams and directly with customers to generate acts of advocacy, including customer stories, review site generation, and direct references.


In this role, you will:

  • Manage customer reference database and utilization of reference tool by Go-ToCustomer teams.
  • Assist in internal and external outreach for customer stories, inclusive of case studies, testimonials and quotes.
  • Generate customer reviews on review sites and for analyst needs.
  • Partner with GotoCustomer teams to generate new advocates.
  • Organize report results of advocacy insights and results.
  • Act as an evangelist for the customer, and advocate for a customerfirst mindset

The skills you'll bring include:

  • Highly customer focused and oriented
  • Minimum of 23 years of experience in marketing
  • Ability to collaborate and build crossfunctional relationships across Sales, Marketing and Customer Success
  • High degree of emotional intelligence, able to empathize with customers and nurture relationships with them
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • B2B marketing experience with technology/SAAS preferred
