Personal Assistant - Duns

cheerful, confident and friendly support worker to join her small team. The role is to help
ensure her safety whilst providing social support to help her engage in activities within her
home and local community. Although she is able to walk small distances she does require a
wheelchair for longer distances and does have her own Motability vehicle and is therefore
looking for a PA who has a full driving licence.
Terms:
Hours per week: 12
Hours of work:
Hours can be flexible - to be discussed with family
£11.50 per hour.
Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
Job Description:
**Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- To support a disabled young adult to ensure their safety and wellbeing
- To support with personal care needs as required
- To maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the client's equipment and surroundings
- To maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the client's car and report any accidents or
- To develop a positive relationship with the client and her family
- To interact with and encourage the client and support them with activities they
wheelchair
- To work alongside a parent or another member of the team when required but to
Person Specification
**Personal Attributes
- Kind and caring, sensitive to the client's needs
- Patient and cheerful
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Ability to use your own initiative
- Willingness to engage with a young person with limited communication
- Ability to work sensitively in a home setting respecting the client and family's right to
- Female only under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equalities Act 2010
- Knowledge of moving and handling would be desirable but not essential
- First Aid training: can be provided if necessary
- Epipen training can be provided if necessary
- Driving experience essential as the client has a Motability vehicle
