To provide an accurate professional and timely administrative service within the Prisoner Administration Department including acting to orders of the courts in accordance with Criminal Justice legislation and the operating principles of the Scottish Prison Service.
  • Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the accurate data input to Prisoner Record System (PR2) relating to prisoner warrants.
  • Verify relevant data held on Prisoner Record System and accurately interpret warrants and accompanying documentation to carry out sentence calculations in accordance with legislation and SPS requirements.
  • Accurately maintain a database of prisoners required to attend court and liaise with Procurator Fiscal to organise their attendance at court.
  • Prepare in advance a daily liberation scroll and ensure that any necessary documentation has been served prior to liberation.
  • Liaise with population managers to accurately maintain a database of prisoners eligible to transfer to other establishments and co ordinate their movement in line with the transfer matrix.
