2Bridge Partners has been engaged in the search for a Head of IT by our client, a leader in capital markets and trading.

Our client offers a comprehensive package that includes a base salary, bonus, and the ability to work remotely. Travel to various European locations is expected.

Position Summary:

You will lead a technical organization of 50, with 5-10 direct reports. This role demands maintaining top-tier operational standards, having the foresight to drive future technological advancements, and generally aiding the business's growth.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns closely with business objectives, and implement and manage people to comprehensive KPIs.
  • Manage various teams within IT, including endpoint technology, email, telecom, networking, security, systems (Linux windows), hardware, data centers, etc.
  • Work with the C-Suite to create the IT strategy, be responsible for a substantial budget, and work to improve service delivery and management.
  • Manage, mentor, and upskill the existing team and work to facilitate recruitment as needed.
  • Provide strategic technology insights to top management, guiding decision-making on tech investments and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Facilitate the adoption of new tech solutions, ensuring they integrate smoothly with existing systems and comply with cybersecurity standards.

Requirements:

  • You have a depth of experience as both a Technologist and a Leader of technologists, having worked your way from an individual contributor to managing mid- to large-sized teams of IT / Infrastructure Engineers.
  • Experience creating and managing budgets.
  • Background working in Finance, Trading Technology preferably, bonus if experienced in FX.
  • Broad architectural knowledge encompassing Email, Security, Networking, Systems (Linux & Windows), Hardware, Cloud(AWS), DevOps, Etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing sizable teams and overseeing complex IT projects.
  • Effective communicator who can connect with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a clear ability to link IT performance to business outcomes.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, AWS Solutions Architect) are preferred.
