An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Data & Analytics to join a growing IT Department operating in a modern, fast pace and disruptive industry.

The Head of Data and Analytics will play a key role in driving the company's growth and success by leveraging data and analytics to make informed business decisions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and analytical professional to make a real impact in a growing company.

This is a hands-on role that requires demonstrable experience in engineering and science.

You will be responsible for leading the data and analytics team, developing and maintaining data and analytics systems, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data.

The Group's IT environment has no legacy on-premises data centres or servers, a cloud ecosystem.

The Head of Data & Analytics is responsible for the effective and efficient design and engineering of data platforms used within the Group, to allow our people to make informed, data driven decisions.


This individual will have a diversified background of technical experience, demonstrated project management acumen, excellent vendor management skills, plus a superior, service-oriented approach to engineering and analytics.

This individual is also responsible for the data architecture and roadmaps to ensure that quality, efficiency, and agility goals are achieved.

As a member of the IT leadership team, the role contributes to the development and execution of the data strategy and ensures its alignment with the Group's IT and business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success.


Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a data and analytics strategy that supports the company's goals and objectives.

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand business demands and influence better outcomes through data insights.

Lead the team to collect, process, and analyse large sets of data.

Design and implement data models and analytics systems to support business decision-making.

Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of the business.

Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements.

Communicate complex data insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable way.

Develop and maintain data and analytics systems, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts.

Analyse data to identify trends and patterns and develop insights across the Group.

Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures working closely the Data Protection Office.


Encourage a culture of continual improvement whereby staff are given the support and guidance to develop their data science and engineering skills.


Fosters a "single version of the truth" culture so that our people are more efficient and effective in their roles.

Stay up to date with the latest developments in data and analytics technology and best practices

Skills and Experience Required

Essential

Experience is essential in data and analytics with a focus on data-driven decision making.

Desirable experience in driving growth with data modelling.

Strong knowledge of data analysis, statistics, and data management

Experience leading a data team.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Demonstrable experience in Structured Query Language and data visualisation and BI tools

Desirable

Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.

Experience in connecting multiple data sets from various platforms.

IT Service Management advanced certification

Qualification is data science or analytics.

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
