Role: Head of Regulatory Support

Location: London – Manchester – Nottingham - Hybrid working model

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Smart DCC's regulatory support team of around 10 experts
  • Identify and manage regulatory risks and issues
  • Build effective relationships to influence regulatory decisions
  • Manage team budget for contractor/consultant resources

Key Stakeholders:

  • Government and regulators – DESNZ and Ofgem
  • Industry Code organisations – Smart Energy Code Panel and Retail Energy Code Company
  • DCC departments (Delivery, Operations, and Customer Engagement)

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in regulatory affairs within a regulated company
  • Strong understanding of smart metering sector and regulatory obligations
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Financial acumen to manage budgets and implement cost-saving measures
  • Proven track record in strategic thinking and thought leadership in regulatory support
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and lead a team effectively
