My client is on the lookout for an experienced Project Manager to oversee a commercial build project in Fareham. This venture involves a £10 million warehouse development starting in June 2024, and concluding in Feb 2025.
As the Project Manager, your role involves ensuring quality, safety, profitability, and efficient management of subcontractors to successfully complete the project.
Main responsibilities:

  • Overall accountability for construction until building completion as per the agreed schedule.
  • Closing out crucial pre-construction tasks to facilitate a smooth on-site kickoff.
  • Developing and finalizing main contract timelines.
  • Leading the construction process and coordinating design/information for its achievement.
  • Being the primary contact person for the client.
  • Coordinating with all departments for necessary project progress information.
  • Creating and presenting progress reports internally and to the client.
  • Ensuring the site team follows Health and Safety, Security, and Fire protocols consistently.
  • Participating in pre-start meetings with on-site personnel and subcontractors.
  • Supervising appointed subcontractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant deliverables.
  • Establishing and overseeing the main site filing system for the site team.
  • Generating monthly management/client reports on contract status, and aiding in correspondence and data distribution.
  • Promoting effective staff communication methods and supporting staff development.
  • Providing additional support resources as needed.
  • Conducting, leading, and documenting weekly team meetings with subcontractors and management, sharing outputs with senior management.
  • Monitoring on-site equipment usage.
  • Producing site progress reports.
  • Delivering the project on time or ahead of schedule and within budget.
  • Scheduling and ensuring regular meetings with quantity surveyors throughout the project.
  • Coordinating with quantity surveyors and subcontractors to address any arising damages or delays promptly.
  • Engaging in ongoing discussions about site progress and issues with the Project and Operations Director.
  • Supervising the preparation and distribution of Operating and Maintenance manuals, attending post handover review meetings.
  • Performing other relevant duties as necessary.

  • Proven experience in overseeing large-scale projects from inception to completion
