IT Project Manager (Contract)

At Saab UK, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering complex IT infrastructure projects and supporting the delivery of IT change initiatives across Saab UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To identify, plan, manage and select appropriate resources, including third parties and suppliers to deliver the required services.
  2. To ensure all deliverables meet required standards through effective management of the project scope, project plans, through accurate and timely project/budget reporting and by planning, identifying, assessing and managing risks, issues and dependencies.
  3. To manage the day-to-day delivery of projects, act as the first point of contact for any issues, ensuring their timely resolution.
  4. To ensure projects operate within the agreed Governance framework.
  5. To manage project finances, forecast accuracy and the management of any changes recognising schedule, budget and scope impact.
  6. To create certainty and manage key stakeholders through effective communication, identifying key issues and providing actionable insight to enable effective decision making.

Requirements:

  1. At least 5 years experience in Project Management
  2. Demonstrates good overall IT knowledge
  3. Has worked in secure environments
  4. IT infrastructure experience including the full project lifecycle is essential
  5. Proven experience of project delivery across diverse and complex technology areas, for example:
  • Infrastructure (Networks, Servers, Storage)
  • Networking
  • IT Security
Technical acumen and experience of complex secure environmentsPrince 2 or equivalent project management methodologyProficient user of a known Project Planning toolStrong planning capability and the ability to identify key dependencies across project activitiesQuality and governance of deliverySelf-motivated, resilient and able to work under pressureExcellent communication and presentation skillsGood team motivator and collaborative skills
