Catch 22 are working with a large, national organisation from within the Construction/FM sector in their search for a HV Electrical Supervisor to join their growing team in London.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervising and managing subcontractors and specialist subcontractors
  • Assess the quality of work that the client's Labour and its subcontractors.
  • Making sure that company safe working practices are always maintained.
  • To manage the productivity and push the maintenance towards the completion dates.
  • Lead and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical switching operations, including the isolation and restoration of plant prior to going into operation.
  • Assess and manage the risks associated with electrical work activities, including the implementation of appropriate control measures and the development of comprehensive switching schedules.
  • Provide expert guidance and technical support to operations teams, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of highvoltage electrical systems.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of electrical equipment, facilities, and work practices to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Project team and Site Manager, external contractors, and Network Operators to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Investigate and report on electrical incidents or nearmiss events, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in electrical engineering and highvoltage systems, sharing knowledge and implementing improvements where applicable.

What the client are looking for:

  • Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Preferable to have completed an high voltage training course within the last 3 years
  • Extensive experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on highvoltage systems and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent understanding of highvoltage electrical systems, equipment, and protective devices.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to provide guidance and mentorship to team
