SUMMARY - SENIOR ENGINEER SUPERVISOR - BACK OF HOUSE

The Engineering Supervisor supports the Chief Engineer in all aspects of how the Engineering Department operates. Though your responsibilities will be managing Back of House Engineer related projects -you will need to have a good understanding to support Front of House Engineering related projects as well

Responsibilities include:

Planning, scheduling, supervising, and implementing repairs and maintenanceEnsuring efficient operation of property utilitiesMaintaining guest facilities for high comfort and safetyEnforcing local building, fire, and authority regulationsAssisting with Fire Life Safety ChecklistsCollaborating with the Chief Engineer and Head of Security to meet Health & Safety requirementsWorking with management staff to promote teamworkHVAC/M&E Management: Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of our complex air conditioning systems. ESG Compliance: Fulfill Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria. Co-ordinates engineering maintenance requests Reporting to the Chief Engineer of any out of order equipment that will affect The Other House operation. This also includes the reporting of any outstanding maintenance issues that older than a month Monitor Rooms and public area Preventive Maintenance works according to the scheme and quality Electrical - managing electrical projects as they come along (including review of energy usage and proactively driving usage down) Monitors working condition of all M & E plant of the property. Plumbing - ensuring that we proactively can resolve issues as they come along, minimising disruption to the property In charge of the operation of all system equipment, takes appropriate action if necessary. Immediately takes direct control of affected systems and initiates remedial action as required. Essential Skills Desired Qualifications-HND (or equivalent) in Building Services, Facilities Management, Proven experience in a senior engineering role within the hospitality industry, preferably in boutique or luxury hotels. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. In-depth knowledge of engineering systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, pool plant and project management Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements. Proficient financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control. High Level of problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
