Research Fellow in Electrochemical Energy Storage

Applications are invited for a full time Research Fellow to join a project based in the Battery Cell Prototyping Laboratory, developing state of the art, silicon enhanced high energy density lithium-ion batteries.


Working in the Centre for Low-Carbon Propulsion Systems (C-ALPS) under the Theme of Energy Storage, you will be committed to contributing to our continued success in delivery of science and engineering R&D programmes.

You will join a fast paced research centre with high levels of industry engagement.


This UKRI project is to be delivered through a consortium of leading academic and industry partners, with the work at Coventry University focusing on high energy density, silicon rich battery electrode and cell development and testing.

This will involve moving from single layer pouch to 21700 cylindrical cells, utilizing various state of the art technologies in electrode preparation and device prototyping, and will offer a unique opportunity to engage and gain experience across the development and design journey of battery technology.
