Health Care Assistant

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and forward thinking Healthcare Assistant with a 'can do' attitude to join the Great Eccleston District Nursing Team, working int he treatment room at Great Eccleston surgery.

The successful post holder will be providing high quality research led care at Great Eccleston GP Surgery.


The postholder will support the wider team to carry out agreed tasks, by working with patients in clinic environment providing direct patient care with a holistic focus.


You will be person centred in your approach to care delivery and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong commitment to supporting the Doctors team.

The nature of the service requires you to be flexible to support us in meeting the unplanned service needs which are often unpredictable.

Working unsupervised in the community setting/clinic/patient's place of residence, you will take and record observations of blood pressure, pulse, temperature and respiration.

Take and record height and weight. Carry out Venepuncture, and simple wound care. Also to provide advice, support and education to patients and carers (appropriate to grade and level of competence)
