Job Title: Occupational Therapist at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi

This position involves evaluating patients referred to occupational therapy, creating and implementing personalized therapeutic programs for patients and families, and observing and documenting patient progress and response to treatment.

  • Performs evaluations on patients to identify issues to be addressed
  • Reviews patient charts for relevant medical history and test results
  • Analyzes and interprets patient needs based on medical history, x-rays, tests, and evaluations
  • Sets treatment goals and develops a treatment plan based on evaluations
  • Administers treatment programs using skilled techniques
  • Monitors patients' medical status and adjusts treatment plans as needed
  • Supervises support personnel and oversees all aspects of patient care
  • Educates patients and families on functional status, exercises, adaptive equipment, and post-discharge care
  • Records necessary information in patients' medical records
  • Reviews and approves progress notes from occupational therapy assistants
  • Participates in multi-disciplinary patient management and discharge planning
  • Completes department forms accurately and timely
  • Supervises students on clinical rotation and staff development programs

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current national license or membership in a recognized international body required
