The Haematology department at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust (MYHT) is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic ACP to join the existing ACP team and provide excellent clinical care.

MYHT provides services across 3 hospital sites based at Pinderfields General Hospital, Wakefield. Pontefract General Infirmary, Pontefract and Dewsbury District Hospital, Dewsbury. We are one of only two level 3 service providers in West Yorkshire. Inpatient care is based principally at the Pinderfields site on G21 ward.

The Haematology service delivers specialist Systematic Anti-Cancer Treatment with the majority of treatment delivered via the inpatient ward and the bespoke Chemotherapy Day Units (CDUs).

An Acute Oncology Service (AOS) provides support for Haematology patients who may require assessment and toxicity management following treatment.


The ACP will be expected to guide and support existing staff within the speciality providing visible and accessible leadership, demonstrating expert knowledge and standards of clinical practice.

Teamwork and collaboration are key elements within the service.

The ACP will be expected to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, such as Consultants, Clinical Nurse Specialists, ward and outpatient based nurses.
