Role Description
This is a full-time role but hours worked on location offset against pro rata. IE 20 days on location = 20 days holiday, or thereabouts.
MUST BE UK BASED - MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR 'ON LOCATION' WORK
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for logistics management, site management, contractor management and procurement. This is a fast paced environment, location work is ever changing and flexible. The right candidate must be experienced, absolutely unflappable and an excellent communicator.
You must be organised, to within an inch of your life, an excellent resource manager and ninja problem solver. The role is advertised as full-time, but in reality although this comes with a full-time salary, working days will be based around location work, and long. But to compensate for this the rest of the time is your own ( ie four weeks working long hours on location, followed by four weeks holiday - You will have half the year as holiday)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems
- Experience in the catering or events industry in a logistics capacity is essential.
We only accept UK applicants, starting salary is £40,000. This is for a full-time job, and half the year as holiday.
Although we would like somebody to hit the ground running, it is our intention that this person would shadow our existing Logistics Manager on a job which is running until January, to get a feel for the operation.
