Head of Clinical Care
This exciting new role provides an opportunity for an experience registered clinician to join the forward thinking, innovative clinical team within SWAST, as the Head of Clinical Care.
The role will be led by the Director of Clinical Care within the Paramedic Practice Directorate, with a real focus on continuing to drive forward the organisation's clinical agenda.
The Paramedic Practice Directorate leads a range of areas including clinical guidance, scope of practice, improving the care delivered (e.g. cardiac arrest), development of community and hospital pathways, selection of consumables and medical devices and clinical technology.
Supported by three Deputy Heads, the post holder will be responsible for providing senior leadership to the Directorate's clinical teams, driving forward clinical practice across the Trust and working across regional health systems to promote the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
As a senior high-profile clinical leader within the organisation, the Head of Clinical Care must display inspirational, compassionate, strong effective leadership, with the gravitas and confidence required to drive improvements.
A good understanding of the ambulance sector will be essential and experience of working across healthcare systems would be advantageous.
At South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) we have a culture where everyone is valued for being themselves.
Our aim is to work together to promote the most inclusive environment possible, which attracts people from the widest range of backgrounds and experiences to enrich the work that we do together, for the benefit of all of our employees, our patients and the communities we serve.
We offer flexible working opportunities, inclusive policies and a range of feedback mechanisms to support individuals and to enable a positive, welcoming environment where our people and their careers can thrive in.
