Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for a Microbiology Technician to join our team in Runcorn.

At Teva Runcorn, we specialize in developing, manufacturing, and marketing innovative and cost-effective medicines, particularly sterile liquid products primarily utilized for respiratory conditions and injectable Combination Products using Blow-Fill-Seal technology.

A Glimpse into the Role:

As a Microbiology Technician, you'll be in charge of generating data through Microbiological testing routines to ensure the sterility of the final product.

What you'll be doing:

Monitor specific environmental conditions in cleanrooms and filling machines at appropriate intervals. Prepare batch summary reports and conduct database trending. Conduct testing of crucial components using proper aseptic techniques - including in-process and Raw Material testing via T.V.A.C, Bacterial Endotoxin testing, and Bacterial identification. Record results in the Microbiology Database. Perform testing on Utility services (Water for Injection, Compressed Air, Cooling waters, Room Particle counting). Carry out Sterility testing on filled products following USP/EP specifications. Manage type cultures and in-house Media QC, Media preparation, and autoclave operation. Complete all documentation promptly and accurately. Offer advice to the manufacturing department regarding microbial, hygiene, and contamination control.

Who we are seeking:

Do you have?

A degree in Microbiology / Biological Science or a related field Previous experience in a Pharmaceutical Lab is desirable, but not required Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

Are you?

Proficient in computer skills and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, etc. Detail-oriented and organized individual who takes pride in their work Capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues, partners, and others
