About the team:

The Group's new Modernisation department, is a strategic team that will support our key stakeholders (customers, colleagues, regulators and investors) through change, working closely with compromises of Project Management professionals, Programme Managers, Business Architects, PMO and Test professionals Internal Communications & other stakeholders within a dynamic environment, to deliver the Bank's prioritised Change Portfolio.


We are now looking for a Data Product Owner to define, own and manage the vision for data architecture, data engineering and platforms to deliver the business priorities.

What you will be doing:

You will be responsible for taking ownership of Data focused on the modernisation of the bank; understanding business priorities to define and derive value-based delivery.


Your responsibilities will also include:

  • To partner with business SME's, strategists, experience leads, and Data architects to frame goals and value pools from which we can shape up vision for Data platforms and Data engineering teams that provide transformative business outcomes and customer experience.
  • To develop vision, strategy, market/user research in line with the CDO strategy, and keep the realisation of customer value and business value at the centre of everything we do while using design thinking tools.
  • To represent Data teams in ideation workshops with crossfunctional leaders where you identify new ideas, customer needs, pain paints, and solution options.
  • To develop solution hypotheses iteratively, based on user research, and industry and market trend analysis
  • To translate product vision and strategy into a data platform delivery roadmap, containing welldefined, prioritised features that will realize the product vision and value
  • To validate and present the business case to the C level executives and lead business reviews to ensure the right features are prioritised
  • Regularly travelling to visit customers and colleagues across all sites

In return for your commitment:
We offer a base salary of £115,000 to £125,000 dependent on experience and competitive benefits package including:

  • Discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to 40%

Could you be the one?:

  • Previous experience creating data platform vision, strategy, experience, and enterprise solutions and services
  • from ideation to launch is essential
  • Previous experience working with a multidisciplinary team on customer and businessfocused data products and services is essential
  • Knowledge of data solutions and an ability to translate this into solutions for the broader business is essential
