Amber Case Management Ltd (ACM) is a Case Management company who specialise in working with clients who have sustained a brain injury or catastrophic injury.

We are based in the North West of England but work with clients across the U.K.


We require support workers in the Penrith, CA11 area, for a child with Downs Syndrome who has an Acquired Brain Injury.

You will be based in the client's own home and will work as part of a team. Our client requires 2:1 support so being able to work as part of a team is essential.


You will be required to implement therapy regimes, support behavioural management, assist in personal care and feeding, manual handling and stoma care.

You will need a positive attitude and great communication skills and adaptability in order to meet our client's needs. Our client does have some challenging behaviour.

Full training for the role will be provided and will be ongoing throughout your service. The package is 2:1 so you will have plenty of opportunities to shadow experienced staff.

Our client enjoys music, singing and being in her sensory room.

She enjoys being read to and when the weather allows, she likes to go out with her family and support staff.

Shift times will vary throughout the school holidays but during term time, shifts patterns are usually as below:
Monday to Friday

  • 15:30pm 22:00pm
9:30pm-8:30am

Saturday-Sunday

  • 10.00am21.00pm
20.30pm-8.30am


Due to the needs of our client, you will need to be flexible to work day and night shifts on a rota basis working weekdays and weekends.

There would be an expectation for you to assist with annual leave cover and short notice cover may be required for sickness within the team.

A driver would be ideal but it's not essential for the role. You will have ideally worked within the social/childcare sector also.

We are offering roles up to full time working hours and also part-time roles.

Rates of pay are

Weekdays and weekday waking nights £14.00 per hour

Weekends and weekend waking nights £15.00 per hour
