Job summary

Are you an experienced digital healthcare Project Manager, enthusiastic about transforming healthcare through innovative digital ways of working? If so, the South East London Integrated Care System (SEL ICS) Digital Directorate is currently seeking for 4 1-year fixed term contract Project Managers.

Each project manager will be lead on one or more projects delivering new, strategic digital capabilities, in line with SEL ICS Digital Strategy. The projects the successful candidate will lead on may fall within one or more of the following areas: Cyber and Infrastructure, Shared Care Records, Empowering People, System Wide Referrals Optimisation and other system wide initiatives.

The successful candidates must have extensive experience successfully leading and managing on projects delivering digital transformation to a wide range of health and care stakeholders and settings. You will be experienced at working collaboratively, across multiple organisations and a large geographical area.

Main duties of the job

The post holders will be accountable to strategic programme leads, within the Digital Directorate, interacting with clinicians, operational staff, suppliers, care professionals, technical teams, Digital Programme Management Office (PMO), patients and the public. The postholder will be highly effective at communicating and influencing senior stakeholders, both externally and internally. They will be highly organised, resilient, and flexible in their approach, with excellent attention to detail, the ability to work with varying levels of uncertainty, finding innovative ways of solving or pre-empting complex problems. Successful candidates are also required to deliver projects within the Digital PMO and programme governance structures and processes, including reporting.

The South East London Integrated Care System is a partnership that brings together the organisations responsible for publicly funded health and care services in south east London, to make the greatest possible contribution to the health and wellbeing of people living in our six boroughs. This includes our Integrated Care Board, our NHS health services, our six Local Authorities and organisations from the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. Together, we are responsible for allocating public money as well as planning and delivering a wide range of health and care services. We tackle the biggest health issues affecting local people in Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark. We aim to keep people well, prevent ill-health and support people to thrive and live healthier lives.

South East London is a system that recognises the importance of digital and data in the provision of high-quality care. To ensure the new and ongoing digital programmes deliver maximum value for our system, we are seeking a highly experienced person to be responsible for requirement capture and analysis, working across the Integrated Care System to support and inform key strategic digital programmes.

This is a fixed term contract role for 12 months. At this time, staff in the ICB are hybrid working (predominately working from home) but there is a requirement to work in the office at Tooley St London as required

Experience of managing the delivery and improvement of services within a complex and diverse organisation. A minimum of 5 years' working experience of digital project management in healthcare. Full lifecycle project delivery (start to finish). Knowledge and real-world experience of risk, issue and dependency management and mitigation techniques (in a project environment).
