Our Client is one of the largest spending authorities in the UK with over £1b in spend annually.

Situated just 30 minutes east from London City, they are easily accessible by public transport and make a real difference to peoples lives every day.

We are seeking a Localities Lead to join them on a temporary basis lasting up to potentially 6 months.

The role of localities lead will be to pull together all the Councils activities in key localities making sure to build excellent working relationships with local partners in the chosen areas.

You will develop a strong understanding of how different functionsand services can partner together to maximise impact that lead to better outcomes in some of our most deprived communities.


A snapshot of the day to day activities
;:


  • Develop a compelling narrative for major target localities, making sure to liaise directly with Central Government and regional partners to make argument for investment in these areas
  • Create strong partnerships for united actions to be made, becoming a trusted advisor and partner
  • Making sure that the maximum benefit is achieved from major projects being taken forward
  • Closely work with the Economic Growth Delivery Teams and Head of Localities to effectively target and priorities activity, maximising impact wherever possible
  • Translate strategy into a clear and structured plan of action for key localities to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of investment
  • Analyse using evidence and data to identify new approaches and influence service delivery across the authority and with partners
  • Develop and maintain tools to analyse the efficiency and effectiveness of the interventions, highlighting any risks and opportunities.
  • Identify and noticing commercial opportunities
This role would best suit someone with the following skills

  • Excellent understanding of project and programme management
  • Clear ability to interpret and analyse data to make recommendations
  • Experience of business case development (urban regeneration and/or economic development are most desired)
  • Demonstrate strong influencer and leadership skills
  • Self motivated and a confident communicator
