The Placemaking service is at the forefront of place-based planning and supporting communities in leading the changes in their local areas.

Working closely with partners, the service facilitates change through engagement, joint working and creative thinking on how to improve the lives of those living, working and visiting Oxfordshire.

This is a brand-new approach for the County Council and we need enthusiastic, fresh-thinking individuals that understand how to improve the places we live in and inspire the people we serve to thrive.

As the Transport Planning Technical Lead, you will play a key role in the development of major schemes and interventions that are important to local places and deliver on policies.

Your role will reflect Oxfordshire County Council's values and behaviours and will lead projects and provide technical support to the team.

If you are passionate about building better places through collaboration and technical evidence and assessment, then this is absolutely the right role for you.

Ideally, you'll have a proven background in Transport Planning Options Assessments and a keen eye for Community Engagement.
