Amvale Medical Transport Ltd are recruiting for a fleet and purchase ledger administrator to work in our Scunthorpe based office.

Hours of work (exc. half hour lunch per day) are 37.5hrs per week, 5 days per week and the position is a fixed 6 month contract with the possibility of a permanent full time position.


The successful applicant must be able to acquire and retain information, be diligent and comfortable working as part of a small team to ensure the accurate processing of documents and data, meeting reporting deadlines, cross referencing, reconciling and reporting in an accurate and timely manner and liaising with a number of people both on and off site to include fellow employees, local authorities, suppliers, DVLA, insurers.

The role will include, amongst other more general duties:

Ensuring that the fleet licencing requirements are met at both local authority and national level as we have a varied fleet of cars, ambulances, vans, coaches and private hire licensed vehicles across a number of sites.

Maintaining and controlling the fleet database and producing regular and ad hoc reports for department managers.

Previous experience of fleet licencing and associated legislation would be advantageous.


Maintaining the purchase ledger on SAGE50 accounts system in an orderly fashion, reconciling supplier statements, dealing with supplier queries and working with the team in a task-oriented environment.


The successful applicant must have demonstrable experience in the accurate processing of documents and data in both hard copy and electronic formats.


Prior use of databases and a good working knowledge of microsoft outlook, word and excel are essential as is the ability to prioritise your own workload in line with the business requirements.

Pay for this role is the prorata annual equivalent of £21,937, paid monthly, pension scheme, 28days holiday (inc bank holidays.)
