Job description

Purpose of Role:


Take a pride in our work and ensure that we provide an excellent laundering service, ensuring that clothing, bedding and linen is freshly washed and ironed regularly.

Ensure that we provide a clean environment for our residents and colleagues.

Provide a consistently high-quality service with high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness across the Home, ensuring compliance with infection control procedures.

Part time hours 34 per week, weekends included must be flexible to meet needs of the home.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to
  • Carry out audits according to the Company audit schedule
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition
  • Use equipment safely and in an approved manner
  • Ensure that safety of residents and colleagues is paramount during domestic operations
  • Promptly report any faults or defects to equipment, furnishings, furniture or the building to the Registered Manager
  • Comply and work safely with the COSHH regulations
  • Always adhere to all Health and Safety and Infection Control policies
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene
  • Ensure that all PPE is used correctly, according to standards and guidelines
  • Manage the stock of cleaning supplies, consumables and equipment in an efficient manner
  • Ensure trollies / cupboards etc are restocked and left clean and tidy at the end of each shift.
