Reporting to the Head of NPD, the successful candidate will be collaborating across functions to support the NPD team in launching new product innovations and enhancing existing products and packaging.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to all stages of skincare NPD from concept to launch for various projects/products.
  • Oversee relationships with third-party suppliers, track timelines, and manage reformulation projects as required.
  • Source packaging from global suppliers, establish and nurture strong partnerships, and seek innovative solutions.
  • Explore and source new raw materials, engaging with suppliers to evaluate new technologies and ingredients for a competitive advantage.
  • Compile and manage documentation for UK and International registrations, as well as legal and regulatory updates.
  • Maintain product formulations and raw materials in the company's technical database.
  • Update technical documentation to ensure compliance with relevant regulations in various markets.
  • Analyze and address technical customer complaints.
  • Coordinate packaging samples/bulk for necessary testing.
  • Manage ongoing bulk sample reviews and submissions.
  • Organize and log samples efficiently.
  • Maintain product filing and online product files accurately and up to date.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Team to plan re-orders and ensure artwork readiness.
  • Oversee updates to existing artwork, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Manage product copy documents.
  • Review and manage artwork.
  • Prepare competitive analysis reviews for new products.
  • Research product trends and competition, providing monthly market analysis reports.
  • Prepare documents and samples for key meetings.
  • Document processes and procedures for business continuity.
  • Record minutes and actions from key meetings and update NPD sheets.
  • Assist in preparing and collaborating with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Ops, Finance) to ensure successful product launches.
  • Handle general administration tasks such as post, filing, and paperwork/samples tracking from suppliers.

Skills & experience required:

  • Knowledge of NPD processes.
  • Understanding of technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with skincare ingredients.
  • Basic knowledge of skincare claims.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and initiative-driven.
  • Team player with flexibility and willingness to contribute.
  • Genuine interest in skincare science.
  • 2 - 3 years in an assistant role in the cosmetics industry.
  • Background in Cosmetic Science is a plus.
