Assistant Principal:
Curriculum

  • To facilitate and arrange meetings for internal and external meetings, for students, parents and stakeholders, providing a full service taking in respect of detailed minutes of meetings and the monitoring of action points arising from the meetings.
  • To act as first point of contact for signposting enquires to appropriate support for curriculum, middle and senior management team, as well as supporting services to students and quality.
  • Support the monitoring of student attendance, maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of student records. Assist in the following up of student absences, taking action where necessary to support and ensure continuous and effective implementation of the attendance policy, marking registers when requested.
  • To coordinate staff sickness cover for all curriculum areas, informing covering members of staff and updating register system.
  • To maintain a central record of all visits, events and visiting speakers to the college as well as archiving the completed paperwork.
  • Effectively use and interpret information from college systems which may include ProSolution, ProMonitor, ProAchieve, ProObserve, ProEngage and 4CAST.
  • Data entry, gathering/presenting numerical/statistical data and College data, to prepare reports and to monitor projects as appropriate.
  • To maintain and develop systems and procedures in both paper/electronic formats to ensure they are organised and up to date assisting in the transition to ensuring all records are digitalised.
  • Have involvement as required in the administration/organisation of college events, presentations and other activities
  • To manage a central stationary store, allocating stationary to departments on request and ordering stationary AdHoc as required.
  • Support in the administration for Health and Early Years & Business Department.
  • To provide an efficient print room service for all departments.
  • To raise purchase orders and credit card orders for curriculum areas using the finance system.
  • To maintain and update college records as appropriate.
  • Work in line with the expected behaviours as outlined in the College's framework.
  • Any other activity requested aligned to the nature of this role and as directed through the requirements arising from the

Skills, knowledge and expertise

Qualifications and training:

  • Level 2 qualification (GCSE A*C, or equivalent) in Maths and English or a willingness to attain these qualifications with the support of the College.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

  • Experience of carrying out administrative tasks in a busy office environment
  • Ability to work accurately with good attention to detail
