What you'll be responsible for:

  • Provide an efficient reception service, greeting patients, public and all visitors as they arrive, dealing with enquiries promptly, taking action as necessary and directing patients/relatives carers accordingly.
  • Preparing notes for clinics and filing of patient information/data, arranging transport, booking/cancelling/rescheduling appointments.
  • Maintain systems and processes to ensure that patient information/data is available at the right time, that they are in the right place, and that they are complete and accurate according to the agreed quality standard.
  • Update patient information/data when patients have been seen.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • Previous experience in customer service.
  • Previous experience within admin.
  • Previous experience working in a reception.
  • Previous experience of using Microsoft 365 or any other IT system.
