The Senior Operator (Canteen) maintains and runs the operation of the staff canteen always ensuring compliance with Food safety and all other regulations, whilst ensuring the standards are maintained in line with company policy and procedures.

Scope of the role:
- To oversee and manage own area of responsibility, taking ownership and accountability for meeting operational objectives and targets. Act as a role model for gategroup company values._
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Overseeing the ordering of supplies in a timely manner
- Ensuring stock rotation in a proper and efficient manner
- Maintaining health and safety standards in the canteen premises
- Responsible for training of staff including food preparation and heating
- Ensure compliance within the relevant documents to be completed
- Manage a small team of 4 staff daily
- Responsible for controlling and minimizing food and stock wastage
Qualifications:
Education:
Educated to GCSE levels
Work Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role / environment / Canteen / Kitchen
- Previous experience managing a small team in a food environment
- Understanding and knowledge of food regulations
Other Skills:
(Certification, Licenses and Registration)
- Good level of computer literacy, including Excel.
- Good knowledge of food regulations
- Able to work as part of a team as well as under own initiative.
- Good standard of English, both written and verbal.
- Good communication skills.
