Overview


To work as part of a team of staff within the Radiology department of the Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a 'Radiology Inpatient Navigator', and work in accordance with the corporate objectives.


The post holder is required to provide a supportive role to the Radiology team, ensuring the delivery of an efficient, effective and safe service for inpatients.

This includes working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to give the best quality of service by assisting professional staff by carrying out clinical and non-clinical tasks in the Radiology department.


A caring, co-operative and flexible approach to working practices is required whilst maintaining a professional attitude for the dignity and well-being of the patient.

Clerical duties as well as the adherence to department protocols and working practices are essential elements of the role.


The inpatient navigators will be tasked with liaising with ED, SDEC, Inpatient Wards, Radiology modalities, and clinicians to ensure the inpatients are bought to the Radiology department in an efficient and timely manner to support the flow through the hospital and improve patient experience.
