The roles and responsibilties of the Head of procurement will be

  • Managing and coordinating all RFP / RFI tender processes and proactively helping business owners well in advance of renewal dates
A deep understanding of Supplier Relationship Management and proactively upwards managing Directors and Exec team members in their role of operating SRM successfully

To motivate and inspire a team (including recruitment, day to day management, coaching and development)

Create a culture of excellence in ensuring the function is seen as a skilled, reputable and trusted team of experts that aid quality decision making

Provide analysis where appropriate, for operational leaders to support decisions relating to the potential impact of proposed changes

Model out potential procurement strategies to develop and grow the business

  • A professional qualification is highly desirable
  • CIPS / Legal / Accountancy
A _minimum_ 5 years' experience in a senior procurement role

A demonstrably strong understanding of contract law

Natural, proven commercial acumen

Experience in leading motivated, inspired teams is essential

Knowledge and understanding of a variety of Procurement systems

Highly experienced in contract management across a wide variety of industries and sectors

Extensive exposure to complex technology contracts and high-value Marketing contracts

A deep understanding of SRM (Supplier Relationship Management)
