Key aspects of the role:

  • Sessional tutors will work either in schools or in a community setting.

  • You will be expected to contribute to Personal Education Plan meetings and Looked After Child Reviews for the children you work with.
  • You may be required to undertake quality assurance of the PEP epaperwork and provisions using our electronic platform.
  • You will cover a geographical area and use of a car is essential.
  • You will be home based or based at the nearest office to your home.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has the ability to demonstrate warmth, care and empathy and puts the relationship with the child or young person at the centre of everything.
  • Is a good listener and have resilience and patience.
  • Has good understanding of child development and the affects of trauma and will use a trauma responsive approach to work with our children.
  • Has good written and verbal communication skills and good IT skills.
