Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead a team in managing large-scale reinstatement projects post incidents like fires and floods, with project values typically ranging from £100k to over £1m
  • Ensure all work complies with UK building regulations
  • Act as a technical resource for insurance firms
  • Assist in tendering processes and business growth initiatives
  • Perform additional tasks as needed

Whenever possible, travel will be confined to the Yorkshire region, which the successful Major Projects Surveyor will mostly cover. However, in situations of increased claims or when support is needed on other projects, travel beyond may be necessary, possibly requiring overnight stays.

About You

  • Demonstrated extensive experience as a successful Major Projects Surveyor
  • Business acumen with a solid grasp of corporate principles and strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with current building regulations

While not mandatory, backgrounds in insurance, chartered surveying, MCIOB or CEng certifications with a focus on defects, agricultural or rural expertise, or qualifications in project management would be beneficial.
