The University Community at Liverpool is diverse and multi-cultural and at the Guild we wish to offer something for everyone.

One of our aims is that all of our 28k+ members will benefit from the Guild, and we recognise that there are many different ways of experiencing student life.

We want to understand what all of our members want and how their own backgrounds and heritage affect and impact upon their time at University.

We have an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Plan which outlines how we are trying to ensure that all of our staff and members all feel equally supported, welcomed and included.

It also outlines how we are seeking to remove barriers to this goal.

Our EDI Assistant - Events; will work primarily within our Democracy and Campaigns Team (also having close working with the Events and Marketing teams), and assist with the delivery of events and networks to support the Guild in delivering its EDI objectives.

The postholder will assist in briefing elected officers on EDI committees, contribute to researching and devising a diverse events programme and generally contribute positively to the organisations EDI development.

The EDI Assistant - Events will work with the Guild Marketing team to carry out specific EDI research when required, and also work within the Democracy and Campaigns team in delivering actions defined by input from our student members.

This may include providing administration support for the liberation networks, supporting EDI campaign actions, as well as working alongside colleagues to support and implement relevant Guild events and festivals of activity.

You will also have an excellent opportunity to contribute to the overall growth of the Membership Services department and to create positive change for our members.
