Cardiology Interventional Fellow

We are currently looking for a full-time interventional fellow in cardiology to join our team for a year. This role will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of coronary interventions at the Bristol Heart Institute, known for its excellence in this field in the Southwest region.
At our unit, you will experience one of the most extensive and high-quality complex PCI programs in the UK. We are also recognized for our expertise in intravascular imaging, using both OCT and IVUS, provided by renowned national and international trainers.
We are open to applications from candidates who have finished their SpR interventional cardiology training and are now looking to step into consultant positions or similar roles.
This position may require an on-call commitment at times, typically at a frequency of 1 in 20, as determined by the department during your appointment.
The fellowship will be affiliated with the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, you can expect to participate in around a certain number of first operator cases each year and enhance your skills in various adjunctive PCI tools, including IVUS, OCT, rotational atherectomy, lithoplasty, as well as CTO PCI (AWE, ADR, and retrograde). We also have an active Impella program.
In addition to the hands-on clinical and procedural training, all fellows are encouraged to engage in departmental research and educational initiatives, present at national and international conferences, and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
