Job Description - Youth Development Coach:

  • Conduct assessments and provide support to care leavers living in supported accommodation, either independently or as part of a team.
  • Empower young individuals to enhance their self-confidence and self-sufficiency through skill development.
  • Manage a caseload of care leavers, addressing their various needs comprehensively.
  • Organize group and individual support sessions within the accommodation to help residents progress towards independence.
  • Ensure regular communication with residents and maintain detailed records of interactions.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders such as social workers to address residents' requirements effectively.
  • Oversee the safety and maintenance of the accommodation, promptly addressing any repair needs.
  • Develop and implement risk assessments and personalized support plans for residents.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Exceptional communication skills and a strong commitment to the organization's values and mission.
  • Prior experience working with care leavers, young individuals, or marginalized communities.
  • Familiarity with Safeguarding protocols for both children and adults, including relevant procedures.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Risk Assessments and Support Planning tools.
  • History of managing caseloads, maintaining records, and adhering to record-keeping practices.
  • Comfortable and confident in working independently.

This position mandates an Enhanced DBS check due to its sensitive nature.
