Our client, within the transportation industry, are looking for a Senior ER Advisor to join their London based team.

As the ER Advisor, you will partner with stakeholders at all levels across their client groups to provide accurate guidance within termsand conditions, employment law and the HR Processes and Procedures to line managers on disciplines and grievances.

**
Key responsibilities:
  • Accurate reporting of HR/ ER KPIs and Service level agreements (SLAs) including sickness absence, 'Not to work', performance management, disciplinary, grievance, appeals etc within department and within Board reports as required
  • Provide advice and guidance to Line Managers on disciplines and grievances ensuring that HR policies and procedures, employment law and HR best practice is adhered to
  • Identify ER training needs requirements for each client group, feedback from line managers and the business/committed obligations requirements and deliver relevant ER training as appropriate
  • Support line managers in local level discussions with Trade Unions to resolve matters of concern in real time
  • Active input to delivering the People Strategy through employee engagement activities and action plans based on the annual engagement survey results
  • Preparing case files for Employment Lawyers where advice or case Management for ETs is required
  • Mentoring of the HR Advisor, ensuring regular performance reviews are conducted and welfare is maintained

Skills and Experience:

  • Level 5 CIPD Qualified desirable
  • Ability to influence and persuade individuals at all levels in the business.
  • Experience of Managing complex ER cases, including disciplinary/ grievances and performance management ensuring business risk is minimised
  • Experience of working with trades unions essential.
  • Direct Line Management experience of an HR/ ER Advisor or equivalent desirable
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
