Nursing Associate (NA)


The Nursing Associate is a highly trained support role to deliver effective, safe and responsive nursing care in and across a wide range of health and care settings.

Nursing Associates work independently and with others, under the leadership and direction of a Registered Nurse within defined parameters, to deliver care in line with an agreed plan.


Training Providers:
Truro and Penwith College

Duration: 24 months

Eligibility criteria:

GCSE Level pass in English and Maths or Functional Skills Level 2, Level 3 preferably in Health and Care.


Programme Overview:


As a NA apprentice you will spend 15 hours a week working as a Healthcare Support Worker, if full time, and 22.5 hours within your paid contracted hours studying towards the apprenticeship.

Please note that when on placements these will be for 37.5 hours per week.
