A well established and growing accountancy firm with offices in Canary Wharf and near Cambridge, and with a reputation for high-quality service, is seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant.

The firm provides services to a wide range of clients, from smalland medium size growth businesses and individuals to multi-national corporations.


Reporting to Manager level, and at an important time in the firm's continuing development, this role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant to not only help manage an existing portfolio of clients, but also to grow the business.


Responsibilities for the role of Senior Accountant:

  • help manage a substantial portfolio of client accounts;
- working with your team Manager and other colleagues in furthering the goals and ambitions of the firm, particularly in the provision of a high quality service to its existing client base, and helping to develop new business;
- assisting in the management of an existing team, comprising Manager, semi-seniors and junior colleagues;
- updating and maintaining accurate records on the internal management system;
- making suggestions on how to improve the firm's workflow processes and procedures;
- other duties as may reasonably be requested from time to time

Experience required for the role of Assistant Manager:

  • will be preferably a fully qualified member of a recognised accounting professional body, with PQE
- must have demonstrable experience of successfully dealing with clients directly
- must have experience of successful team-working in a practice environment

Person Specification:
- this position requires confidence, flexibility and enthusiasm;
- must be a clear communicator, possessing excellent written and oral communication skills;
- presentable, courteous and polite.

  • CPD and/or further professional study support;
- remuneration as stated includes basic salary and CPD/training allowance;
- approved contributory pension, share option plan, and limited absences allowance additionally offered.
