The Client:
A high-profile luxury and sustainable jewellery brand based in Victoria are looking for a Merchandising Assistant. The Merchandising Assistant will join the team as a temp on an ongoing basis, with the potential for this position to become permanent. The Role:
Merchandising Assistant duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Working within the Supplier, Wholesale & Franchise and Retail elements of the business
- Collaborating with the supplier base by monitoring the movement of the product from the supplier, through the warehouse and to stores and the web
- Be the go-to for supplier communications and queries
- Maintain and improving warehouse availability
- Monitoring and communicating supplier performance to support the business buying strategy
- Working with suppliers to improve performance
- Maintaining systems
- Monitoring and improve availability of products to maximise sales
- Ensuring all NPD is available on time for partners
- Reviewing, managing and reporting on orders identifying performance issues
- Assist partners launch new products
- Completing weekly store replenishment and ensuring stores are up to date
- Ad hoc travel to the Norfolk office may be required
The Successful Merchandising Assistant will:
- Be interested in long term temp work
- Potentially be interested in the role permanently
- Want to work in a creative environment
- Be detail and solutions orientated
- Have excellent IT skills, particularly Excel - including VLOOKUPS, PIVOT TABLES, Conditional Formatting, Filters, knowledge of Nested Functions & Text Manipulation Formulae
- Have strong numerical and analytical skills
- Be a strong communicator and able to negotiate
- Be a team player but also able to work autonomously
- Be able to prioritise their workload
The Details and Benefits:
- £14 an hour, plus holiday
- Hours are flexible but standard hours are 9am - 5:30pm
- There is hybrid working, although initially this role will be office-based
