School Cleaner

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our school, to take responsibility for the cleaning of all designated areas to the highest possible standard.
Job Specification- To carry out all cleaning to the required standard of cleanliness as specified by the school, therefore meeting high standards of hygiene.
- To ensure that any tools or light equipment and machinery supplied for use are kept in good condition and stored securely in the designated areas.
- To keep storage areas clean and tidy and make sure all materials and equipment are stored in a safe manner.
- To ensure the correct use of materials and equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and recommendations.
- To use, where appropriate, powered equipment in undertaking cleaning duties.
- To carry out all work in line with Health and Safety regulations and risk assessments.
- To advise the managing director of any factors that are likely to or have affected work schedules.
- To notify the managing director of any mechanical failure of equipment or equipment unsafe for use and of additional supplies or cleaning materials required.
- To report any graffiti or hazards to the managing director
- To place all rubbish from bins in sacks and take to the designated area.
- To undertake any other tasks appropriate with the duties and responsibilities of the post
- To attend any relevant training sessions to ensure that you are fully equipped to perform your role effectively
- To comply with any reasonable request from the Manager to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified in this job description.
- This job description is current at the time of issue but may be changed by management to reflect changes in the role, which are commensurate with the salary and job title.
